hey,,! anyone suggest a cure for what i can only describe as a a sunken inward exterior door panel joint? ..unsightly 3/16 gap that seems to start just around the middle horizontal door crease and runs the length of the entire bottom of door.. passenger side. Name: IMG_0031.JPG

You may be able to adjust the inner door joints...If all else fails I'm sure a body shop can get that lined back up...

Door needs adjusting to close that gap. The bolts on the door hinges are how to fix it

Typical GM workmanship. Before I would adjust anything, check to see if there are signs of misalignment, such as scuffs, excessive wear on the door striker, non seal of window and doors (if you get excessive wind noise or drafts). In general I do not have body joints adjusted unless its a glaring issue (very noticeable and unsightly). If you are still under warranty then I'd have the dealer handle it; Otherwise look for a top quality body shop to take care of the issue.

Did someone put it on a lift and squash the pinch weld underneath? That would cause the fender to bulge out. Check underneath for damage.

Fender and Door

I agree.

If under warranty just take it in.

Otherwise take it into a body shop.

If you feel confident enough you can adjust the door and the fender.
Get someone to help you as the door is heavy.

This is done in the hinges on the door, there is not a lot of room, but maybe enough to take up this slack.

If you loosen the fender bolts you can move the fender in and out too.
