Putting High Wing Spoiler on my 2013 ZL1

I'm going to be putting the High Wing Spoiler on and wondered if it would be best to buy a totally different trunk and insert it on my ZL1 to keep the original intact and perfect, while also not having to worry about the insertion holes where the lip spoiler comes off. Wanted to know if anyone has tried this yet?

The spoiler that came with the ZL1 was made specifically for that car, it was designed in the wind tunnel to help with the downforce. I wouldn't change it unless you don't care about the ZL1's performance go for it.

+1

The ZL1 is aerodynamicly perfect.. Spend your $$ on engine mods IMO.

Im going to be adding multiple accessories, both performance related and design related. This is why I wanted to keep my original trunk and spoiler intact, that way I can switch it out if the high wing doesn't work for me. I'm curious to see how the final product will come out, ZL1 with High Wing and Painted Stripe over.

Personally, and this is just me and my personal preference. But I like the ZL1 spoiler the most out of the entire line.
I think the high wing spoilers look too ricey for me. Just kills the look of the car.
But if you like and and you want it, do it, it's your car.

Let me know when you sell your ZL1 Spoiler, I want!

And I love the look of the ZL1 spoiler-- but if you're gonna do this, I'd a new trunk lid, yep.

I've got a feeling you won't get many thumbs up for the high wing spoiler on the ZL1. The factory spoiler is already high enough for most people and the rear visibility is poor enough as it is.

Yea I figured not a lot of people would like it, but I can always switch it back out if it doesn't work well with the car. I want to keep all original parts intact so I'll be keeping both trunk lids and spoilers.

Kelly (Spymaster) replaced his trunk lid when he did the hi-wing spoiler he sold his for $400 + S&H just a FYI. If you plan to do it just sell the spoiler and have the body shop fill the holes when they paint the new spoiler.

If I end up selling anything it would be the high wing w/replacement trunk lid. I plan on keeping both to be able to go back to the roots. I know the ZL1 spoiler was built for better performance but for the design I think the high wing takes it. Both look nice imo. Win win!
