Power Sterling Issues

Some background on the car; it is a twin turbo camaro with the agp set up. Stock motor and internals, fuel upgrades and what not!

When I do hard pulls from 2nd to 3rd usually I will lose the power steering and the dash will say "service power steering". After about another 20 minutes of normal driving it will go away and the steering will return to normal. Sometimes it requires a restart of the car to get the power steering to work again.

Anyone ever had this issue?

Sounds like the bcm is getting a short signal on hard acceleration. Any harness with wires melted?

Well I am having the same issue with my 2014 Camaro SS. It is procbarged. We have replaced the complete steering rack twice, built all new harnesses, changed PCM,battery, Alternator, ground wires to heavier ones and a bunch of other stuff and still having the issue. The dealership is having GM check into it now. We are clueless what else it could possible be.

All the ones posting with issues have '13 or newer, which all have electric power steering and no pump.

There is a thread in the ZL1 section on power steering issues, but nothing that was related to acceleration only that i remember. I do find it odd that those that have posted so far with the acceleration loss all are turbocharged. Maybe it is a heat too close to a sensor or the rack itself. Don't know, just a thought to throw out there.
