I just spent all day polishing out swirl marks. There are days - a lot of days- that I hate black cars!

Morgan is on board for the drag event with NEOCC/PACE. He said last year they did an AutoX event at beaver run. He said alot of PACE showed up, but very few NEOCC. He said we need to get a date fast as his schedule is filling up.

Is there a particular month that would work better?

I'm going on vacation the first week of June, and weekend of April 21 is no good (but I certainly won't hold anyone back if they prefer such a weekend). Obviously the weekend for Carlisle/Camaro Nats should be out, too.

Any month is good with me. I have a bunch of booked weekends already though. I'm going to start a new thread this week so we don't congest this one. I'll post the thread link here when I get it started. First item may be finding a track (preferably two lanes!) and seeing their available dates/cost.

Sounds great!

The single lane thing isn't necessarily a deal breaker, but it really eats away at the amount of cars/runs people can get in during the rental time frame. That's the whole point of a rental, IMO. Plus, it's fun to get some grudge matches in

Another option would be to just have the group show up to one of the Flashlight Drag events at Waynesburg. It would cost less and take less planning. The downside is that it is a little far to drive and there are no timeslips. That said, I like the track rental idea, but prefer side by side racing.

I agree that this may work the best. There are alot of tracks that have basic street race nights and they would be more economical perhaps, but sometimes it's tough to get a good amount of runs or grudges. I'll add this as an option for folks to vote on though.

The advantage of the Flashlight Drags is that it is during the day, and there is a large grass stagging area for people to hang out, talk, tailgate, show cars, etc. and if someone wants to race they can pair up and go out and race.

I don't mind doing the flashlight drags at all, but I want time slips from the track. It's really the only way I can faithfully argue on the Internet

People can also hang out and tailgate at the track... unless PRP is dry (spectators, that is).
