In memory of 9/11.. Where were you?

In a not-radio-friendly office. I'd say "at work", except that very little work got done that day. Much of what I heard was going on came via internet message board discussions.

I was remodeling a house in NH. We listen to the radio during the day so we didn't get to "see" the horrors but we were all huddled around the radio listening.

I remember at first thinking it was some sort of hoax, we all know how some morning radio stations try to be...but quickly realized it was not.

i hear that. my Aunt was listening to Howard Stern and he reported it. she didnt believe it coming from him...turns out...

At work sitting the very desk i am as i type this. i remember the co-worker that told us it feels like it was yesterday

I was at work.....as the announcement of the first attack, we were all fixed on the TV....and watched in horror as we saw the second plane hit the tower.

I was still active duty in the military and was about to go to usual morning PT here in Fort Shafter, Hawaii when we heard the news. Cancelled PT and that night I was on my way to deployment.

Was on my way to work for a government contractor, stopped to get some drinks and they where reporting a small single engine plane had hit the WTC 1. Of coarse when I got to work and setup the TV in our conference room we found out it was much worse.

Our DC office staff say they saw plane go into the Pentagon from their office.

On board the USS Mount Whitney, Norfolk, Va. getting a hair cut as I watched TV. Watched it unfold after the first plane hit. Base went into Lock-Down. Nothing got done that day as we all sat and watched... speechless.

In work listening to the same radio station as today. Boss hooked up a TV and we all watched in silent disbelief as our world changed.

5th grade religion class. They wouldn't tell us what happened, some of the older students were the ones who told us.

I was 5. I was in kindergarten, and we were watching a movie. I remember the day so clearly... wow... 12 years ago.

I was laid off from my job so I was home and asleep when my boyfriend at the time called to wake me up and told me turn on the TV. I couldn't believe my eyes and of course the 2nd plane hit right before my eyes. I of course was in tears and raced to my son's school to pick him up even though he was 15 it didn't matter to me and wanted him by my side. I cried for months and I still can't believe it has been 12 years now. God Bless all those that lost their lives and loved ones!

I was at the local community college attending classes when the school president cancelled classes for the rest of the day. Went home and watched the news on t.v. Couldn't believe my eyes.
