Random accidental trunk openings

Happened twice this weekend; somehow via the key fob?
I'm certain I'm not fatfingering it. This happening to anyone else?

Do you have a spare fob in your car anywhere?

I've had mine open a couple of times. Can't say what did it, either pulling the fob out of my pocket and didn't hear or see the trunk open. The trunk button on the door panel is situated where it could get pushed by accident as well.

definitely not the button, but you may be on to something with the pocket theory....

I can't open my trunk with the fob unless I am right next to the car. Even then, I have to hold the button down for several seconds. Sometimes even that doesn't work, so I just use the button in the door. I had planned to ask the dealer to check it out on my next visit, but after reading this thread, I think I may be lucky.

Sucks when traveling and have luggage.

thanks - good idea.

from install instructions:
Note that the Two-Shot relay remembers the first press indefinitely
and will release the trunk on the second press of the button

seems like that just prolongs the problem, but doesn't solve it

I had the same gremlins on my 2010 SS. Just like you I was like 'huh, did I hit the key?'

Happens to me all the time, usually I hear it pop, but when I don't I get the notification on my dash that its open, if there are some speed bumps around, I use them to close it, else its back out to close it.

Happened to me the other day, thought I was crazy.

I also don't put my keys in my pocket, they go on a snap lock on a belt loop.

If I'm wearing tighter fitting jeans and kneel down or something I've noticed it can happen.

Happens constantly, sucks jumping in and starting to go when it shows up, often I clear it and let a good bump take care of it.
