Ticking/Chirping Noise - Lifters?

2013 Camaro 2SS/RS, AGP Twin Turbo Kit, Livernois Motorsports L92 Stage 2C Cam.

About 3 weeks ago I started getting a chirping noise. Occurs at all RPMs, decreases a little bit when at temperature, but still there.

The build team and I thought maybe needle bearings from one or more of the rocker arm trunnion bearings OR that there is some kind of bad contact on the rollers. We replaced the rocker arms + trunnions and the issue seemed to disappear temporarily, but after a few runs on the dyno, the sound returned exactly as before. Build team stethoscoped the heads/valvetrain area and it seems to emanate from the passenger rear side.

Video of the Ticking/Chirping here: https://youtu.be/5E3CuR-y7xA

Lifters? Any thoughts?

Well, I can't say what's wrong but my hearing is not so great and I can hear that on the video without my hearing aids! Hope you and the builders get it figured out.

Check all the spark plugs to make sure they are tight . Maybe the idler pulley ? Header leak ?

A shot in the dark, but it would seem that the slight improvement at operating temperature would occur due to better oiling of the suspect component. Maybe something in that area of the engine is getting starved of oil.

Also, rhythmically it seems to be too fast to be anything piston related. I do think its probably valve train related.

Almost sounds like a belt or a pulley to my ear

Most valvetrain related issues I've ever heard were really bad knocking or ticking. That sounds like a bad pulley bearing or something to me

Just read where your builder said it sounds like it's from the valvetrain

That's a rough sound, good luck OP

Why does it sound like a bad injector noise to me? Like an old toyota camry an ex used to have.

Rhythmically once again, it does sound like one chirp per revolution. Lol.

I count around 80 chirps per 10 seconds. So that would be 480 chirps per minute. Ha. I could be off slightly. That tempo is for shredders. But whatever it is that is chirping appears to be happening approx once per revolution.

Don't know if that means anything.

sounds like a belt and pulley issue I chased for a long time. ended up being the pulley on the balancer. It was not on the camaro but my GM truck.
