Polishing a CAI intake

I just got a CAI intake and was wondering about polishing it using the method below to give it a mirror sign, is this a bad idea? could I harm my new part?

Adam's metal polish #1 and #2. Those combined will give you a better shine than anything else on the market.

This will take many hours and lots of elbow grease to get it to a high shine finish. Be prepared. If you must, start on area that is not readily visible and go through all the steps in your link to see if it is worth it to you.

You could likely do this to the box and lid, but the tube is ceramic coated. Not sure how this would work. Contact Bill @ CAI Inc

Polishing is ok. Only real problem is that it will show blemishes easily.

Why not go with CAI Inc's powder coated black? I did...

Contact Bill at CAI, Inc. for any questions before you start polishing and stuff.
