I'm going to be quitting but I think she will still sneak one once in a while. What should I do if I smell the scent of a nasty cig in my car or worst a burn hole in the seat. That would put me over the edge.
I smoke occasionally still, but have never used an ashtray in my cars. Usually because the windows are down, and they accidentally fly out the windows, possibly starting small brushfires along the road.

The ashtrays in my 3 current cars, contain about $40 in change

Smoking inside a Camaro kinda goes hand in hand. I remember looking at a 79' Trans Am locally and it had baaaad smoker interior smell but I didn't care, I almost considered it a part of its charm. I won't smoke in my Camaro, though.

I hope you know that a single cigarette burn in your Camaro is a sin against Chevrolet.

to all the people complaining about smoking in a6pk2go's camaro:

lay off, its his car he can do what he wants. really complaining about something that will never effect you since it will be HIS camaro is a little rediculous.

I agree, you must take a shower and wash your hands before entering my Camaro.. I do agree with headpunter as he can do what he wants with his own car. However I do recommend setting a goal to give up smoking before you get the Camaro as a New years resolution as friendly advice . OK I just read through the thread and you do have a plan for quitting I have a soft heart and my Grandfather always would tell people about the dangers of smoking since he is a Dr. I guess it rubbed off.

As for your wife not quitting after you have and making a rule not to smoke in the car, that will be hard rule to follow so I wouldn't even try. As for all of us making comments about smoking, don't let it get to you..

I read somewhere that there is a smokers option...I imagine it is one of those that converts one of the world class cupholders intom an ashtray.

Maryjane probably is the main cash crop up there now. I raised tobacco all my life until the goverment came in and starting a program to take the base off of farms. Most of my family no longer raise the crop which by the way isn't the easiest way to earn a living. I had two jobs and also raised about 17,000 pounds of it. It was selling for cost to $2 a pound when I quit. I rented a farm from some old man who told me once that what I needed to do was get me about 15-20 if those plants and I would make a lot more money. He was in his 70's and is no longer around but I thought it was pretty funny that he offered to let me grow it on his farm. I lived in Ky for my first 40 years and didn't raise marijuana so since I moved to Tx I didn't know the marijuana was now the leading crop. Until they make it legal I wouldn't advise anyone raising it. I did see they are having something come out at Sema which mentioned something about smoking and seemed to be the first person on here who had a question about it.

Thanks for the update about their main cash crop.

Indeed, it will be dealer option.
