I want another car....
.... just so I could drive that other car to walmart and other highly traveled to places.
My beautiful camaro has 5 DINGS ALREADY!!! One of them is over 4 inches I'm seriously started to get pissed off and if I ever catch anyone dinging my car... they will be sorry some people just don't have respect. I try to park away from people and parking in ways to avoid possible jacka**es but living in a college town makes that impossible to do all the time before anyone asks, I'd rather not post pictures that would make how I'm feeling worse. anyways, I needed somewhere to vent and I am done. End rant/ |

One of my greatest fears with my Camaro is this. Fortunately, I do have another vehicle, an old 91 Chevy Silverado. I just did some more body work on the fenders this evening. (Good ol' Bondo, that damn rust creeps back every year..) I drive it when I have to go less than desirable places. The paint on it got old and started flaking off a couple years back, and I got sick of it, so I buy cheap Duplicolor Automotive spray paint and do touch up work whenever this happens somewhere new. I park out with it, just like I do with my Camaro, but on the off chance that it does get a new ding from some idiot, I just get the shake cans out when I get home and touch it up on the spot. Old girl looks pretty decent considering her age and that I use cheap paint on her. Looks better than most other old Silverados still on the roads these days.
I'd recommend them actually. The advertising back in the day for them had commercials that claimed they were "Like a rock". Mine only has 135,000 miles on it, and it is still in fantastic running condition. They are great when you need to haul something, as a backup beater driver, and ideal (If you get the 4x4 like mine) for winter driving so your Camaro can stay safely at home! |

I'll only take mine to Walmart after hours (here the Wally World is open 24 hours... so I bring it up there after 10pm). There's hardly anyone there and I can have a freedom of most of the lot.

I'm lucky to have 2 other "family" vehicles that I use when I need to go to places such as "Walmart". I'm a Target shopper myself however I refuse to drive my car to Walmart for any reason.

I'm a regular Target dweller as well... I have a favorite 'one dinger' (curbside parking spot) that I use that noone else seems to see it there, or can't be bothered walking to!
It's worth the extra walk for the safety! Used it today, and even took a cart that was an isle away back to the dock so there was no chance of it rolling anywhere near my car!

Mine goes from home to work and back, and a few "approved" place where it I feel it is safe to park. Or if I just feel like going on a drive. Otherewise thats what the wife's car and my motorcycle are for.

The problem is you are going to walmart. I think somebody is trying to give you a sign to stop shopping at walmart.
