Very interesting. Thought you drilled holes at first. Had a small heart attack lol

Another option is the sto n show bracket for the 2016-2017 Camaro, with a small modification. The mounting bolts need to be moved inward and forward on the mounting plate.

I placed a center line front to back. The mount bolts need to be ~7.75cm from the center line of the bracket. The bolts need to be ~1.25-1.5cm in forward, with respect to the original mounting holes. This will put the plate ~1/2" in front of the peak of the air splitter. I put a piece of 3/4" foam between the plate mount and the air splitter, to reduce any chance of rattle. The stock screws seem to be long enough.

One note, in addition to the instructions above. Turn the mounting bracket around 180 degrees. The straight edge, now, goes toward the rear.

Or, you can wait for them to make the correct bracket.

It's got a pull-pin underneath. The plate comes off in 2 seconds.

Hmm... interesting. I did a hide a plate on my 5th gen and have been happy but I do like how you can completely remove this one.

Quick update guys. It appears they now make specifically a front plate holder for the ZL1. When I originally posted my post it was for the SS model. The link is below.

I love the placement BUT it is a little too low for my liking. I know it will most likely scratch the payment at some point. I believe they make the same one you have but it has a remote where it automatically flips and hides underneath.

I found this; http://www.pfyc.com/GN1018.html

P.S I do love the fact that is allows the full air flow without covering up the grill.

I only have 600 miles on my car, so far, but I find it seems less likely to hit going into parking lots than my Gen5 ZL1. I was thinking about welding on a little skid plate to add reinforcement to the mount. The motorized mount would be a waste of money. One good curb hit, and you'll scatter all the electronics all over the place. I'm not a fan of the plate being up, and to the left. I got a thing for symmetry. Bottom line, there is no good place for a front plate.

Yup, it's just as ugly as all others. This plate comes off in 2 seconds, litteraly. The stock bracket, not so quick, and it won't hold up to be taken off frequently.

I haven't seen how it mounts....I just assumed there was drilling involved....if there is no drilling into bumpers and/or covers..., I may consider it.
