What is this on my Camaro?

Check it out. I just noticed this. There is tape, that is colored IOM that is in my door jams. Both passenger and drivers sides have it. What is this for? Can I peel it off? Anybody else have this? Did they forget to take tape off of the body before they pained it?

Most new cars have that. Also look down low on your rocker panels and you will see it. Those are high traffic area's and protect the paint.

Yes, Stone guard and DO NOT PEEL IT OFF!

I'd be more worried about that uneven gap in your rocker guard. Looks much wider at the door then towards the back.

They stop rock chips. I had an air bubble in mine. The dealership replaced it.
