Can we add auto blip to manual trans?

I've been jealous ever since I've learned the C7 corvette has auto throttle blip feature for the manual trans.

I'm no master of the heal and toe... so I think this feature is pretty awesome. I found that there is at least one company selling an add-on module... was curious if anybody has used it or something similar?

http://auto-blip.com/auto-blip

here it is installed in a C6 Z06

Pretty sure not able to retro fit something like this. Would be pretty involved with programming and sensors for the transmission output rpm, current gear, engine rpm, throttle position, engine load, etc....
But, I'm no engineer.

Interesting....

Good find.

I'm curious if this would work on our Gen5 Camaros as well...

Just curious, what is the cost? I read the Camaro piece, and I am confused as to how it adjusts the amount of throttle needed. In other words, depending on speed, you may need more or less throttle for the downshift. if you give too much, the car lunges when you engage the lower gear, and if you don't give enough, you get tremendous engine braking. Neither are good. I have never driven a car with this feature either added or from the factory. I may be making a big deal out of nothing.

PS: I just saw the $395. I agree that seems high, and am still not convinced how it can work well.

What am I missing? I am not seeing what is going on that is different.

I read the link, but why would you want your throttle to open up when you have your brake and clutch pressed? Arent you trying to slow down at that point?

Nissan 370Z comes with this feature doesn't it? Is that the rev matching?

This device takes the place of manually rev-matching during a down shift.
