I just realized you're right in my backyard. Good to see some of the best builds on this forum come from SoCal.

Very impressive write-up! This will definitely come in handy when I'm ready put my engine in. What paint did use you for the water pump neck and the brackets?

I used the valve cover crinkle paint on the water pump. The brackets were sanded down, primered then painted with aluminum engine paint.

I switched over to a carbon fiber COPO hood from Anderson Composites. The scoop is huge!

Build looks awesome! Just absolutely jaw dropping! Would love to be an intern for ya haha! But why didn't you go with the fast lsx 102 intake?

Nice job on the build! Is there any reason you chose the Pfadt motor mounts over BMR or Prothane? Also, do you notice any odd vibrations or your vehicle rocking with the cam lobe at idle?

In my opinion the PFADT engine mounts looked to be the best in strength. And they were American made. You will for sure notice more vibration and rocking. I have a stage 3 cam so I can feel all the engine harmonics. All is good!

I just finished installing new rocker arm trunnion bushings from Straub Technologies. I bought 2 new rocker arms to install the bushings and compare the results. The stock GM rocker arms have a lot of play between the trunnion and the bearing. So much that you can see the rocking movement of the center trunnion. When I did my cam swap a few years ago I upgraded to the Comp Cams trunnion kit. But this doesn't fix the excessive play on the trunnion. It only makes the needle bearing more secure. Replacing the bearings with bushings eliminates this problem. After installing the bushings there is no movement at all between the trunnion and bushing.

That's the Straub kit? It looks exactly like the Smith one I bought from BTR. Do I have my names messed up?

Either way your build looks bad ass...
