New 5th gen owner, old member...
Been trolling the forum for awhile now and been working on getting a 5th gen. Today my wife and I bought a LOW mile 2010 IOM SS 6SPD and I think she smiles bigger than I do while driving it. I'm an open book when it comes to learning about this thing so go for it. Looking to get some bolt ons done soon. Been looking for things on a budget lol since it'll be a DD/ weekend warrior/ eventual autocrosser/ whatever car LOL... Oh yeah I'm in central tx.

Appreciate it, there's some gremlins with the halos and the lower fogs I need to workout and I'm debating about the wheels... People seem to like it a lot but I don't know how long I can do it... I like SOME attention but that's not my style. A friend had a good idea of getting the orange on the wheels done flat black and leave the rest gloss... Might plasti dip it and see how it looks

I would suggest plasti dip just because it is a cheap thing to do but also something that can be easily removed. 4 tired equals 4 cans of it which is about $25

I feel like there should be a standard gen5 greeting.. How about a welcome with a pro tip
Congrats on the purchase. Don't open the hood with the wipers up.

How about a picture under the hood? There might be an aftermarket air filter or something already. |

I know the last two owners. The first bought it off the lot and is a member on here. He put stainless works 3 inch with 1 7/8" headers electric cutouts intake and tune and a one piece drive shaft in (440 to the wheels is what I was told with that setup). He sold it to another guy that I know locally also. That guy put on the bumper halos and powder coated the wheels orange. Well... Last week or so he broke two teeth in the rear end... Took it to the dealer for repair and it wasn't under warranty... Of course... So long story short... He left it at the dealer with a $2800 repair bill and the bank took it all back to stock... Tune off intake off, back to stock mufflers and o2 sensors BC it had to pass inspection before they could sell it.... Cars got less than 25k miles and we paid less than 25k for it with a 3yr/36k warranty and the insurance is dirt cheap so were happy. Not sure what the mod plans are... Might try and get all that stuff back from the shop that took it back to stock and I might just say forget it and go a different route... Open for ideas... We've got a 2year old so I don't want it too nasty and BC my wife drives it... Plus I've gotten older and I own a 1000cc sport bike for going fast. So now its time to cruise. Been looking at handling improvements. BMR packages and what not...

Nice car and welcome. I love the IOM but the wheels are just not my cup of tea. My only suggestion would be to get a clear bra if it doesn't already have one!
