Need a DIY for Boost / Air fuel gauge install

I am having the sc installed next week and am looking for somebody to lead me down the road to find the right guages. I will most likely be using the dual pod from fessler but need to know how to install and what to look for as far as gauges. Looked at the adm ones but they are just too pricey.

Im in the same boat....the gauges that I like the most are the Autometer Nexus, but they are expensive too.:(
The boost gauge and Air/fuel ratio gauge (light show ) are the ones that Im going to order.
Boost and fuel pressure are the ones that most people tend to use..

I had to paid to get them installed...

The boost gauge looks easy to install but for the AF ratio gauge you have to drill a hole in the headers to install the sensor.

Sorry, just saw this thread so here are a couple of things to consider that I went over with another SC member:

The type of gauges you should look for would be 1) a boost/vacuum gauge that sweeps from 30 in of vac to 20 lbs of boost. The boost gauge is great. When you get used to it, you drive to that gauge a lot. You'll know what I mean if you install it. 2) an A/F gauge (preferably wideband). The A/F is a much better tuning item than say fuel pressure since it is telling you what the engine is actually doing, not what it is receiving. If your fuel pressure were to drop, it will show up on the A/F. Plus with a fuel pressure gauge you would have to run the gauge outside or get a pressure transducer to convert it to an electric signal to run inside.

Here is a thread where a member has a pic of Autometer Cobalt gauges installed on the drivers A-Pillar. Check out Post #6. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87333

Anyway just my < .02

Also, check out the A/F gauge in Post #5 of this thread. That is the level of gauge you really want to have. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2004739

I like it! Did we figure out where to get the power lead and light lead from?

I would just buy the ADM boost/AFR gauge and be done.

It looks better mounted in the gauge cluster IMHO than that round gauge that you need to find a home for.
