I have not owned the K&N but have had the CAI and Currently the roto-fab. The CAI seemed well made and produce good power and sound but my lid would not stay on correctly. The people at CAI where very helpfully but I decided I wanted to go a different route so I grab the Roto-Fab. The sound and the power seemed similar to me but I like that they have the dry filter option because it can get dusty where I live. Between the K&N and Roto-Fab I would go with the Roto just for the looks alone I'm sure they will be similar in sound.

Roto-fab makes a killer intake for these cars. I'd grab a CAI or Roto-Fab over just about anything out there. They both look amazing and perform great.

My K&N looks and sounds great. Stomp it and you hear a huge rush of air being sucked in. It's your choice.

I have the Rotofab(for the G8) and love it. The airbox is different from the gen5 but the rest is about the same. Which ever one you go with you need to relocate the washer bottle for best results.

Roto-Fab , its results are better, their support for this platform is better, and the pricing is great when you purchase through vendor sponsors here on the forum.

Regards
