Clean your MAF, check your plugs. How many miles?

Recently acquired 2010 SS M6. I pulled the fuses last night for a little more than 4 hours. i know it is recommended to go overnight, but I didn't want to fumble around with fuses at 6:30 am in the dark...

There wasn't any noticeable change in the performance of the car at all. Perhaps there has never been low-octane fuel in the car. Perhaps I didn't leave the fuses out for long enough. Either way, it was easy to do and worth the effort. I may even try keeping the fuses out overnight to see if that makes any difference.

4 hours should have done it unless you pulled one wrong or like you said, it wasn't on the lower fuel table to start with.

I double checked, so I know I pulled the right fuses. It must not have been on the low octane fuel table to begin with.

Just checking, I saw in the main first page of thread that it didn’t work on 2010 or 11. Is this still the case? Ik it said it wasn’t confirmed but I’m reading other 2010 and 11 cars doing it.

Reread that. It states that 10’s and 11’s can only be done by fuse pull or dealer reflash. Not that it won’t work.

Just wanna thank the posters for this thread. After buying my truck I had lent my 2011 2SS to an employee who "needed a car to survive". I told him premium fuel only. 6 months later when I picked up the camaro from the impound there were several things wrong with the car. Lots of body damage etc but what really broke my heart was that the engine wasn't the same. I did an oil change and bought new tires. Put dozens of tanks of premium back in but it was never the same. I had to floor it to get any type of growl. I somehow stumbled upon this thread while searching for ways to improve my engine including exhaust and CAI filters. I eagerly did the fuse pull and low and behold the engine is 90% back to what I remember....and I am falling back in love with the car. I guess my ex-employee was putting in 87 in the tank for 6 months. This guy used to show up to the gas station empty and put 5$ of gas in at a time....should have known he was not gonna listen about the premium. So thanks again...I think i will still pursue the kooks headers and borla s type exhaust with CAI mod too. One by one.

Much appreciated thank you.

So this person says thanks for letting me use your car by damaging it and you have to pick it up at an impound yard? ...
