FIC 1100 or ID1050X with my Whipple

While I have my Whipple off I am going to upgrade my fuel system for E85. I am looking at either the FIC 1100 injectors or ID1050x. My questions are which is better for my setup (in my signature) and will they work with the Whipple fuel rail? I called TSP and the sales person didn't know since I'm not running a stock fuel rail and the ID gives the option for fuel rail spacers. Fuel pump wise I'm leaning towards the DSX auxiliary pump. How does this pump compare to fore or squash systems?

Thanks in advance
Mark

Are you running injector spacers now? The ID injectors should be drop in. Side note, I have a set of BNIB ID1050x's for sale.

I think the pump options are preference. If you don't want to potentially cut a hole in the car to install a dual pump setup but are fine with popping a hole in the tank, the add on kit works great.

Can't comment on fitment. Any reputable tuner should be fine with either injector. Wish i would have went with something bigger than my ID1050s. Could have paid close to the same amount for some 1400s. DSX pump wont have the capability of a true dual or triple setup, but may be plenty for you.

Go right to minimum of 1300cc , ID is the "best" I use FIC and recommend them

Leave yourself some headroom to make more power in the future and have better resale. Everyone ends up selling 1000cc when they want to make more power

Yeah I would love to but I don't have a wife that understands why I need to spend 1000.00 on injectors and another grand on the pump when what I have works just fine lol so I know trying to sneak an additional 7-800 out of the bank is out of the question

My FIC 95lb injectors are rated at 3 bar. They all tested over 1100cc at 4bar good bang for the buck injector

While I agree with other about going straight to 1300cc min, if you're truly going to stay at 800whp, there is another option that is very affordable.

Deatschwerks 90#. I run them with the dsx aux pump/zl1 pump combo and they are right at 80% DC at 800whp. That's the comfortable limit.

You can find them new from RDP for around $660 if I remember correct. They come with injector data and they work great. I dropped the data into my tune in about 3 minutes and the car drives just like stock. I'm actually thinking about upgrading them now, cause it turns out 800 isnt enough...

It's always better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission. LOL!

But to answer you original question, the DSX setup would probably work great if you are seriously going to stop at 800 HP.

The next best option would be the AGP dual pump setup which is basically a modified fore setup without the fancy Fore controller. Check their website or contact Kevin on here for pricing. They were running a sale a couple weeks back.

You will either have to cut the trap door, which is what I did, to remove the pump or drop the tank. If you plan to go beyond 900-1000 hp one day I personally think the DSX system would be at it's upper limits.

I've had the FIC 1000 cc injectors and they ran fine. I only got rid of them because I wanted more power.

Not sure. They are drop ins for stock rail and wiring harness.

+1. If your planning on running straight E85 you will max out the 1000 or 1050’s. If your planning on blending to E70 or less you might be ok. I’m in the process of upgrading to 1300’s because my 1050’s are at over 95% DC on E85. Right now I mix 94 pump with pump E85 and keep the blend below E60 and my DC is just over 75%. Blending does help with cold starts in the cold temps. I would add a gauge that tells you E content or just log with HPtuners when ever you fill the tank.

Buy once cry once. Especially when the wife is watching.
