Question for our Great White Northern Brothers

How do you say Z28?

Zee twenty eight or Zed twenty eight?

When I was in the Navy I work with the Canadian Navy up on Whidbey Island Washington. While I was there I bought my ZR2 Blazer and all of them gave me crap for calling it a Zee Arrr Two. They kept saying Zed and it took me a while to figure out what they were talking about.

I always say Zed 28...anything else just doesn't sound natural. However, I've know a number of Americans in the past and they have impressed Zee on me for quite a few different words...but as far as the Camaro goes it will always be Zed 28. I do call it a BMW Zee 4 tho.

The only car that I can think of where I use Zee on is the 350-Z, mostly because it flows much better than saying Zed.

Also, what I've noticed is that for the Z28, Americans tend to say it as all one word, Zee28. But Canadians tend say it more like its Zed: 28, with a little pause. Maybe thats just in my head though

I call it Zed 28 in Canada but when I was in Kentucky for the F-Body Reunion and in Detroit last August for the F-Body Reunion I called it Zed 28 ! Oh wait a minute, that is the same thing. Never mind! Funny how an imaginary line drawn across a continent can designate different patterns in speech, Eh?

I also admit I can't understand why Canucks say Zed too...and I too say 350Zeeee for the Nissans. All that to say.....I am the Canuck who took Zed28.com....a little wink to our fellow Canadians...hope to get to the Ontario show June 14...with my Zed28 SS
