It is to bad that the accident happened but it is a good example of the factory control arms doing there job,had they been a stronger aftermarket pieces you more than likely would be talking about more damage such as the cradle at the control arm mounting points I am sure.

yes.. if the arms were upgraded ones..

it would have taken out more than just the arm(s) for sure.

All of the aftermarket arms I have seen are at least 3X as strong as the stock ones. Most are either boxed in, or a round tube for strength.

Glad you found your parts and were able to get them off of a member. I have always thought about all of the damage I could do to my car if I hit a curb with most of my suspension being aftermarket heavy duty replacements. Let us know how it turns out, hope the alignment shop doesn't find anything else under there.
