Anyone running a shift light?

Anyone running a shift light? If so what are you using and location. Coming from a high reving engine find myself shifting later than I should.

Does an Aeroforce Interceptor gauge with the annunciator lights set to a desired rpm count?

The only time I'm concerned with high rpms is when I'm out on the track, so those dash-top instruments are only mounted temporary. I do have a second Aeroforce gauge on the A-pillar that stays there all the time, but I don't set the annunciator on that one.

Ecliptech makes a shift light that mounts directly on top of the steering column I have it too I’m just waiting for them to button up my engine issues before they begin installing all my gauges but I follow another C5 owner that has it setup in his SS.. seems pretty minimal but effective..

I have a Holley Sniper light. I haven’t figured out where I’m going to permanently mount it, though. I had it on the pillar but I don’t like it there, especially with the other gauges I have there. I might try one of the vents next. Mine is also the style that plugs into the OBD port; I haven’t decided if I want to hard wire it or not.

I also used to use the Ecliptech. Packages great in that location. Great piece.

That's a great gauge set up too! I should look into that.

You mentioned you have the OBD2 version of the Sniper shift light, do you hit the plug with your shin? Or is it pretty low profile?

If I have my tuner plugged in while driving, I hit the plug with my left shin in shifts...

Good question… and one I can’t answer yet. Haven’t got the car back together. Hope to find out in the next month or so!
