LOL, yes. I've driven to Kansas before! You forgot the cattle, horses, and milo fields. You'll also see the occasional hill, and sunflower field as well.

I'm from Ohio and you are right. We lived in Mansfield, TX for 10 years and I hated it. Too freaking hot. Could never adjust to the heat. We are now back in Ohio and LOVING IT!!

Central Ohio and Mid Ohio Raceway!

Next year is the first year in ages in which I won't be teaching two classes in the spring. (I have a sabbatical next year! whoo hoo!) I will try very hard to attend no matter where it is (as long as it's in the continental US).

We have FULL support ALREADY from the owner and CEO Don Goldman of LoneStar MotorSports Park.
http://www.lonestarmotorsportspark.com/

- 1/4 mile and autocross track...

- John Hennessey has pledged his FULL support to host #2. They have 2 Dynos... and a Huge shop and LOTS of parking space.

- Also 99.9% sure we will make the programing for Car Crazy Camaro owner, Barry Meguire's Speed Channel Show. (They did one for Sturgis too)

- The H-Town Camaro Club along with San Antonio and Austin Crew would be able to provide major support for this one. The club is on-board 100%

- 7 different Hotels in Sealy including 2 Holiday Inn express'

- More Camaro speed shops in the Houston area than anywhere else for sure.

THE MORE ADVANCE NOTICE we get the better, especially when it comes to the TV programming
This is only 7 miles outside of Sealy, TX with plenty of lodging and right in the backyard of Hennessey Performance Engineering. This track looks promising.

Here are some reasons why I think our facility is appealing for a future event:

We can offer our facility at a cost that will be the most affordable option to the organizers and thus those attending.

We have 2 chassis dyno's on the property so that there could be a dyno shootout going on at the same time as drag racing and a car show.

Our 1/4 mile dragstrip is at our complete control and we can prep it and run it whenever we want to.

Our facility is located right on I-10 about 45 minutes west of Houston. We can have the drag racing, car show, dyno shootout, vendor displays, group photos all in one location.

There are 3 great road race tracks that are not far away for those who would want to do that. Texas World Speedway, MSR and Harris Hill.

We have complete flexibility on scheduling and running the event. We own the track, the dyno's and the entire 143 acres of our facility.

One of the biggest reasons is that our Houston Camaro Club could help organize and make for a great event.

I suggest that Camaro5 consider doing 2 events each year. Feel free to use our facility in either the fall or spring time. Then have an alternating event on the west coast and then the next year do it on the east coast. With our place as the one where it is right in the middle of the country.

Houston also has direct flights from most major cities and international cities. So enthusiasts from outside of the USA could make it for the event as well.

We are willing to invite the organizers for CamaroFest to fly in and visit our facility and see it in person. This invitation includes 2-round trip plane tickets and hotel rooms. You could meet with the local Camaro club in our conference room at our shop while you see the rest of the facility. You will be impressed with the entire operation.

Please let us know if we can help.
