Corsa Exhaust pinging sound.

I need some help there is a pinging sound coming from my Corsa Exhaust when I turn off my car. It’s bolted on and it only happens when the exhaust is cooling off. Does anyone know what it could be; are the bolts not tight enough?

Normal

With it being as cold in Texas as it has been lately, once you shut off your car, the exhaust starts to cool very rapidly. During cooling, the metal contracts and you will hear all kinds of clicks, pops and pings. It's normal.

The exhaust gets extremely hot (WAY hotter than 100 degrees), so whether it's 100 or 30 degrees outside, there is going to be considerable thermal contraction.

Yea mine does it too. It is just the metal cooling down and there must be an area where it is a bit tight and it pings....It the signal that let's me know I just had a good run

Cool thanks for the info. I was just a little worried because my Zoomers never did that but then again I had those welded not bolted, makes sense now.
