I was paying extra attention to my shifter today while driving. I'm not sure how much more I'd want.

What do you mean you don't know how much more you'd want? I feel like you pushed me towards the mgw then said you wouldn't wanna change out your zl1 shifter

My stance... If I had the crappy standard shifter I'd buy the MGW over the ZL1 mainly because they are both about $350… the MGW I assume is better.

I wouldn't however swap my stock ZL1 shifter to spend $350 on something that is maybe 10%-15% better.

I hope I explained myself well this time.

Yeah I understand. I'm sort of in the same boat. The zl1 shifter seems like a better deal if the assembly is $120 without the boot and knob.

Does the standard stuff swap over? If so that's a no brainer IMHO.

I would definitely make the old boot work, if my current aftermarket knob doesn't fit what's $40-60 more? Still under $200

Yeah, that seems like the way to go.
