I would take the air intake, but that's just me.

I am not a mod guy at all. I have buddys that spend tons of money on mods and when they go to sell or trade in it is just money flushed so I will be leaving my SS alone.

I'd do the intake too... I think it would make the biggest improvement.

I would say exhaust, but need to hear the factory in person first. If it sounds as good as I think it will, go with the intake.

Depends on what is more important to you - better performance or better sound. I would probably go in this order:
1. Exhaust
2. Intake
3. Headers

I'm with 'Pete on this one. Really - I don't think it'll be much in the difference, in terms of actual power, among these three GMPP options. I don't see that one is going to give significant power over the others. I think a good question to consider what will make you FEEL like your going faster? I think the sound of a car gives more of an impression of speed, so I think the catback will be the best choice, in this senario. I don't really think the shorties are going to change sound a whole lot, especially through OEM exhaust. Personally, I get tired of hearing the intake roar (more specifically from imports) over the exhaust.

IMVHO - catback. I don't think you'll be leaving much power on the table opposed to the other options listed and think you'll feel faster with the catback

Well you say you can't afford much more, so your best bet, cost wise is to go with the intake. You can then save up for after market exhaust later on if you want. That's what I would do.

I think I'm with Pete on this one too. If you can only do one I'd do the exhaust first. The CAI is easier and cheaper _ you could probably slip it in somewhere down the road w/o too much trouble.

I don't have plans to do the headers anytime soon but I'm willing to listen to anyones compelling argument.

I could not agree more... There will be cheaper and better aftermarket parts for the camaro. If I would going to go with one it would be the cat back because then it would sound even cooler right away, but upgrade everything else when the money was around.

I vote intake. I would bet it will give you 10-15hp. the cat-back 0-5hp and it is damn expensive. the headers are going to give you about 5hp and are also damn expensive.

if you want it louder, just have an exhaust shop weld in some bullets or the muffler of your choice for a few hundred bucks.

I know it wasn't an option, but if you are getting a manual. . I say get the Hurst STS. . . Will make driving your Camaro a lot better when the excitement wears off some.
