I think they look pretty good, but you covered up the reflectors at the top of the lights, which definitely makes them illegal...

Until you get rear-ended and sued or pulled over and fined... the slit is pretty obvious and the light has to be diminished.

I thought about doing that with tint to the side marker lights to mimic the LED versions everyone is using. Cheap and easy.

As for the tail lights, I'm not sure. The lights don't blend in as they aren't flush with the surface.

Actually the light it self shine pretty good during the day I had no issue seeing it at 1000 ft which is the regulation. At first I did put tint on the strip but that was way to dark so I took the tint of the light strip and it shows real good on a sunny day with the sun hitting it

I did that to my v6 and put a thin piece of vinyl tape and put 4 heavy coats then took the tape of a put I light coat and it did mimik the led side markers except they were not as bright as the led but it did the trick.

Lol I thought of the same thing once it was done lol but it is all experemental. I have plati dip under the white paint so I can just peel it off without damaging the tail lights.

while they look cool, its an accident waiting to happen (pun intended).

normally, getting rear-ended would be the fault of the 2nd car, but in this case, that might not be true.
