yup yup! USPS lady just dropped off the last piece of the puzzle, can't wait to pull the posi apart and see exactly what kind of wear is going on with the clutch plates...did a lot of research over in the G8 boards...currently zero probs but with the mileage and plans for more trips to the Q...seems a reasonable upgrade to do...at least I hope so!

The ford spring applies more pressure on the clutches of the factory limited slip differential.

Ya learn something new every day, neat. Is that an issue for people - having the posi not strong enough?

quick update...waiting on a couple of posi clutch kit's to arrive...the long weekend gave me the opportunity to review current progress and I realized my initial approach did not take the clutch pack height into consideration...had I tried to run it would have probably gone boom...soooo...everything is back apart and have done additional measurements to make sure it gets back together correctly...hopefully will have more progress soon 'cause I want to get her back on the ROAD!

I'm not understanding what you mean by clutch pack height? All I did was install the spring and bolt it back together. Did I do something wrong? Its not noisy and seems to work fine at least for now.
