Interesting, the owner decided just to stop paying his bills then thought the City would bail him out with free junk bonds. City and debtors laughed at him and seized his property. Don't they know that's not how government works? They were supposed to give him free cash and bail him out omg, how dare they close a potential site of ours!

Heartland park has been purchased and probably could be had for reasonable or cheap from new owner trying to reastablished events.Awesome drag strip and road course. Huge area for everything under the Kansas sun!! Have been to many nhra nationals there. Hotrod power tour and many others. Top notch facility.

Heartland is nice.
Utah would be a good spot.
CA should have a huge turnout. Just concern about their smog laws.

Phoenix is as close as it will probably get to the West. Pretty sure Phoenix was in the top 3 for attendance last time around. Everything is there close by for a return at some point in time. My guess is probably not till spring of 2017 to give it a chance for the 6th Gen's to build up.

Great to hear! Heard of it being a great facility, also heard about it closing the doors, and wasn't added to the 2016 NHRA National event schedule.

Correct in the "West whined when it was in Phoenix". We had more people from Midwest/northeast/Canada show up than all from CA. Even I made the trip to Phoenix from Indy. Apparently if it's more than 100 miles from your house, you don't want to make an effort to go (for those CA people).

I wish people would just drop the whole Vegas thing. It has been posted many many times that the amount of money they want is ridiculous high.

Ya but you don't see people in the south complain about it at all. You only see posts about how there's no love for the west.

That's probably because using Atlanta as home all the previous fests, except AZ, were less than 11 hours away.
