Trade in my SS for C6 Grand Sport?

Hi, I've had my ss for 6 years now and while I love it, I'm getting the itch for something different. I drove a friend's c6 z06 and it was awesome. The only thing I don't like about it is no option to remove the roof. The grand sport solves this by having the z06 look but having a targa roof. I would have to put in about 10k. The reason why I'm thinking now might be a good time is I have no reason for a back seat. What are your thoughts on this?

attached is what I'd be looking at

Thanks for the feedback!

This is mine right now. It would be very hard for me to give her up but I just really fell in love how the c6 drove. Totally different feeling to me, even with my bolt on mods

I have had a corvette. They are a different animal. Both are fun cars and I am sure you would enjoy the vette

I guess the only down side would be 2 things let me know what you think..

1. It would already be 8 years old (looking for a 2010+ for ls3 engine) the look while it could be timeless do you think it would look really dated once c8 corvettes come out?

2. Not good in the snow. I live in Connecticut and I've been doing fine with my ss with all seasons. I have a volvo beater that I could use so I guess it's not the end of the world.

I’d do it. Got my Camaro and my SS sedan.

I know what you mean, Camaro is nice but the Vette like the SS are a totally different beast.

Yeah the feel is totally different. My dad has a base c5 (2000) and I drove that and it even feels faster then my ss which i doubt it is.

When I bought my 2011, I was looking at C6's as well. Whatever I bought was going to be the only car. For my budget, it was the 2011 Camaro or a 2005-'07 Corvette with similar mileage.

Love the Camaro, but often wish I had gone for the Vette. I have a year before I see real equity in the Camaro, maybe then.

You could always upgrade to a ZL1. 580hp vs 438hp with similar performance and have the room necessary for when you start popping out those little kiddies.

I could but I never felt like I'd want to spend thousands of dollars just to get a different version of my car I have now
