What do you guys think of the Chevelle concept compared to the Camaro? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I came across this picture of the Chevelle concept car that GM is considering. Do you guys think it would be a home run like the Camaro was? There are a lot of loyal Chevelle owners, you see them at every car show. I personally think the Chevelle could have the ability to appeal to more people than the Camaro does.

Opinions?

I like it but it would eat into camaro sales. However a four door version would be The perfect Impala replacement

Yeah the camaro looks way more retro old school camaro than that. I would never look at that and think chevelle

Badass looking concept but it won't hit the hearts of the true Chevelle fans like the 2010 camaro did for camaro fans. The 2010 camaro exudes with heritage and successfully meshes the past, present and future of car design. The chevelle concept does not do this. I can see this concept being more of a new Pontiac (RIP) G6 coupe or GTO. If this car were made exactly as shown, I would never guess it a chevelle.

Don't get me wrong it would be a badass looking car and it would sell. It outselling a camaro depends on a number of variables and its price.

If they perform and cost equally then its all about consumer design preferrence.

That's not a concept. Nor is GM "officially" considering it, at least by anyone outside their studio's account.

It's just an enthusiast rendering, nothing more. You can see where he/she 'borrowed' parts of the Volt and the Camaro, spliced them together and made it look good.
