The gas lid door location really bugs me too. Even worse, you have owners who decide to get a custom gas lid door or wrap the stock lid flat black which makes it look even more hideous.

Another thing that bugs me are the panel cut lines. You know, where the metal body meets the flexible urethane parts. For example, the lower rocker panels. They go nearly half way up the body sides in front of the rear wheels. As the urethane rocker panel slightly shrinks as it ages, that cut line is going to open up. Then, all you're going to see is this big black line gap on the side of the body.

The edge of the rear bumper attachment point is another issue. Instead of making (a more or less) straight line back from the rear wheel to just under the tail light area, the bumper edge actually slopes upward as it goes back to the tail light panel area.

The front bumper is similar and has that weird swoop that angles backward before going up to the top of the front fender line. These issues with the panel cut lines are a minor annoyance because most new cars today have the same problem. However, if I'm comparing the design merits of the 6th gen with that of the 5th gen, I like how they executed the panel cut lines on the 5th gen much better.

Lol you can't even admit to the 6th's most obvious and non-debatable flaw?

Statement was "6th is better in every measurable way"

Fact: it's not

6th vs 5th
79 cu-ft vs 93 cu-ft (interior volume)
9 cu-ft vs 11 cu-ft (cargo volume)

6th Gen lost ~15% of interior and cargo space; that's not better when it was already small to start with.

Those 1981 Olsmobiles looked great, especially the midsized A-body. The Cutlass Supreme received a major facelift for 1981. The hood line was lowered and the trunk lid deck was raised that made it look more wedge shaped which looked great for that era.

The car buying public agreed and sales were even stronger after the update. I think they were the best selling cars in America during that time.

Something I don't think I will be able to say about the '19 SS angry predator refresh.

Wasn't it eliminated due to the potential for the fuel tank to burst into flames in a rear end collision?

I wouldn't.. The guy is an idiot! I just saw an old Challenger the other day, you can't mistake the 2. Yes, the modern Challenger has the same styling cues, but in no freaking way can you mistake it as an older one..

Probably. But you never had to see it.

I still have this “feature” on my ‘87 Buick. Yes, it’s illegal now due to crash standards. Potential for the filler neck to break off in a rear hit.

The modern Challenger has more than styling cues, it's a retro vehicle. The guy isn't an idiot, simply not an enthusiast.

I am with you , park the two next to each other and the new Challenger looks like a fun size SUV compared to vintage Challenger.

Good point. Has anyone seen a picture of a 1969 and 2015 Camaro SS side by side?

Because they chose to make the Camaro smaller makes it a flaw? No i won't admit thats a flaw , what is a flaw is the understeer with 5th Gen SS . Yes the 6th Gen has less interior and cargo space by design not flawed . If someone needs more space then the Camaro is not for them at all . The Camaro Makes a perfect second car as it is for me ,which i have plenty of room and cargo space for what i use it for . The Camaro is not made for everyone its just that simple .
