Does anyone know if Dave Hill is still with the company, and if so what his job is?

Lutz is the man...I like his style. I'm very excited to see how things evolve in the next few years.
Thanks Scott and keep it up!

And please put some good music to the ads! Zepplin's Rock 'N Roll for the CTS was pure genius. It captured excitement, reminded you that it had "been a long time", and got the blood pumping. For the Camaro, AC/DC's Back in Black comes to mind. I know its cliche, but who cares? This car has 300+HP in the V-6, 400-426HP in the V8, the target audience isn't the most subtle bunch, myself included.

Start with a black screen, start up that first rift. Halo's come on, all you see is the lights, maybe the Chevy badge. Have two cars thrashing about in a warehouse, one silver, one black. Throw in a smokey burnout, get the 3/4 shot of the car drifting in slow motion, etc. All the announcer needs to say is: 300 HP. 29 mpg. $22K MSRP. 400+ HP V-8 also available. Now available at your Chevrolet dealership.

Excite us!
I CAN JUST PICTURE HOW COOL THAT COMMERCIAL WOULD BE!!!!!!!!

wow....

I was sitting on base with my wife today waiting patiently to get her ID updated. while waiting I was watching CNN report on Lutz's planned resignation and how he was going to take home ~$10million. I was severely dissapointed that he was leaving, tho I could not blame him as his fears of a political run GM were not unabashed. to my suprise however, numerous other people in the waiting room started criticizing Lutz (and by association GM) for the $10mil severance package (which was less than half of what he was supposed to get). one woman mentioned that people like him were the reason that our economy is in the gutter. to which point I turned around and told her that "people" like Bob Lutz are the reason our country is still alive right now. I told her that a lot of the blame is because of the american public and our 7 second attention span. throw out big words and scare the populace into buying overpriced, underpowered, jap traps that still dont get the fuel economy of american made vehicles and everyone throws their money out of the country. then we want to blame those who are still trying to keep our country alive and American because the country is bankrupt. the whole hype of the prius needs to die now. I wish the Volt could be released tomorrow so we could show the world what American motor companies can do.

(steps off soapbox)

I am truly glad that Lutz has decided to stay with GM. I know he will help GM continue to grow better, stronger, faster, leaner than ever before and he, along with you, Scott, will help keep our American dream of the Corvette and the Camaro alive as we move on into the future of automobiles and economy.

Thank you Mr. Lutz. Thank you Mr. Settlemire.

Good Read... I have always like Lutz. But I fear GM needs a mind like Zora back in the design department.

"...The rest just want the best possible vehicle they can afford to pay for and fuel.
They also want great design..."

I've always said, if they put together a Camaro LS with hybrid tech, they'd probably sell more of them to the eco-treehuggers than they'd sell 2SS's to us. A Camaro hybrid would be the best looking green car on the market. Who would want to drive a prius if you could drive a camaro at the same cost, and same mpg.

...but they'd need a BIG HYBRID badge to differentiate it!

...and only the hybrid comes in green
