Just tint them with vinyl, just dark enough to hide the ugly orange & red markers on side of your car in the day. But still will reflect in day or night

Did you pull this from your butt mister? Most cars don't have side markers.

Ignorance......all cars have side markers.

Either it wraps around the car and is on the headlight or individual like our cars....

If it's on the the front it isn't a SIDE marker.

It was also edited in after... SMH. Don't get uppity with me dude. Act like a civilized person and use a little respect. Also, JUST so you know, i just some research and found that you don't need them, an amber bulb will pass inspection just the same. Thank you, and have a nice day.

"In North America, amber front and red rear sidemarker lamps and retro-reflectors are required. The law initially required lights or retro-reflectors on vehicles made after 1 January 1968. This was amended to require lights and retro-reflectors on vehicles made after 1 January 1970.[29] These side-facing devices make the vehicle's presence, position and direction of travel clearly visible from oblique angles.[29] The lights are wired so as to illuminate whenever the vehicles' parking and taillamps are on, including when the headlamps are being used.[5] Front amber sidemarkers in North America may or may not be wired so as to flash in sync with the turn signals.[30] Sidemarkers are permitted outside North America, but not required. If installed, they are required to be brighter and visible through a larger horizontal angle than US sidemarkers, they may not flash, and they must be amber at the front and rear unless the rear sidemarker is incorporated into the main rear lamp cluster, in which case it may be red or amber.[15] Some Japanese, European, British and US-brand vehicles have sidemarkers in Europe and other countries where they are not required."

Cool

With our kits, the reflectors still function, even in bright afternoon sunshine.

Dark Stealth Smoke (darkest material available)

I've been pulled over twice and I have them and the cops never said anything about them.

I know in NorCal you will get fined for tinted sidemarkers, yes they are illegal but all depends on the cop. Sidemarkers are mandatory on all cars and as others have said sometimes they wrap around headlights or tail lights but they are still on the SIDE of the car. I went with showstopper sidemarkers so there is still a small line of oem marker and have had no issues as of yet.

I simply took out the bulbs in the side markers and painted the cover black. No problem. xD

Yea they are illegal. The NTSHA has standards for reflective sidemarkers, red to the rear to ID the back of the car from the side and yellow or amber to the front to ID the front.
The tint still allows for the reflective properties to work however the Ghost painted one do not. I had my OEM's done by Showstoppers so that they had the LED strips but kept the OEM look and this was really nice but the adhesive they used sucked and they came apart and got water intrusion. That's really the way I like them.
It is illegal to be in non-compliance with the DOT standard that has been set. I'm retired ISP here in Indiana and I had my car at a car show and one of my fellow co-workers mentioned the legality of my ghosted side markers or lack thereof. I have the Ghosted ones currently but plan to try and restore my OEM's with the LED strips. Love the bright, and clean look of the LED light strip on the side markers vs a solid bulb.
