Well I was hoping to have my motor back yesterday. I had a new block, and new crank installed. Got it all done, and the rods were too short. After doing some math my engine builder called me and told me I had a 408, not a 370 like I asked for and spent $6,500 for. So After waiting for a month on new parts, ends up they wont work because AES built me the wrong motor. I am just fed up with the whole deal. I am pretty close to just parting the car out.

Ain't that bout a bitch?! Funny how you can do so much quality work yourself, but as soon as you need to lean on someone else, they end up taking the wind out of your sails. That just plain sucks. For all of us.

So your original motor was a 408? Damn, you've come too far to just part it out!

Explain the situation to AES and tell them you want the pistons you PAID for!

By the way- What size is your down pipe? Does it step down from 5" to 4"?

You've got one of the cleanest build I've seen that makes awesome power. Hate to see you give up on it due to others mistakes.

Couldn't you benefit from more cubes to spool that turbo sooner out of the hole? Not that it makes it right. This has been an impressive build. Set backs suck but stick with it. I've had to do a ton of stuff on mine to get an F1X in the cts v engine bay and have had my frustrations along the way too. Hoping to fire it up this week actually.

Hang in there

Cant wait to see your results Ben. Definitely a one of a kind CTS-V. Hopefully both of us will be ready to go very soon.

Thx man it's been a wild ride for sure. Almost have the 15" rears sorted out too, need 1 more redone. I'm off to Europe for 3 weeks for the F1 Monaco and Canne Film Fest and when I get back those should be done and a custom 12pt cage in it too I hope haha

That sucks @ss Justin. What about the trans people? I have also been following you on LS1Tech and wasn't the trans behind the whole thing?

I'd tell them have fun with the lawsuit then and their reputation on leading websites.
