I am the opposite. I don't care if it is faster. I am driving the car and I want the joy of a manual. Even if the auto is faster. Im sure in time you will see a driverless car that is faster then a human doesn't mean I want that either.

I old school... give me a manual.
Word. I like to row too.

I think it's all about being a "drivers" car too...

How much of a purist race car can it be when it has AC, radio, wifi, wireless phone charging, bluetooth, heated seats, cooled seats, heated steering wheel, reverse camera...?? I mean, what we draw the line at the trans which happens to be the most awesome trans GM has made? LOL!!

I have a feeling the no A10 1LE has more to do with other considerations than just the retro feel.
I wonder if they have to crash test the various transmissions or EPA mpg test them or conduct reliability testing of each trans. More expense to them, and marketing determined most 1LE sales would be with the m6.
Also I wonder if it may have been partly like the old 60's copo cars which had option deletes, no radio, no AC, no heat, manual trans no power brakes, steering, windows, locks... partly to keep them out of the hands of the daily driver average joe's.
The car would ride rough uncomfortable and noisy and overheat. The average joe would hate it and likely crash it. That wouldn't promote sales with word of mouth or brand loyalty.

Agreed. These cars these days have nothing in common with the older cars. Like I said, the ZL1-1LE has heated seats, cooled seats, wifi, wireless phone charger, etc...lol!! A dedicated track car that has a need for a wireless phone charger? But an A10 trans is just too much?? LOL!!

I love that today's track rat can have all the bells and whistles without sacrificing track manners. I just saw GM is only making 750 1LE(s) a year. Looks like this will have collector car potential yet!!!!
