I wasnt talking about the movie as a flop.... I was talking about Transformers 2 helping the release of a Z28.... but there was no release, the Z28 idea flopped... that is what I meant..

Now if GM is smart... then when they do release the Z28 with Transfromers 3 they will off an EXACT clone of the Bumblebee. That will help push some of those cars better than the possible 50k price tag.

It is just good to see that people at GM are still making references to it, which means it is not completely dead.

Chevy comes out with a Z28 i will be the first to order one, damn that would be so sweet. Gets me all giddy to think about it so i try not to. Still though Chevy is going to have to do something about their line-up. If a Z28 comes out it will blow the doors off the base vette and will probably be the same price if not cheaper than a base vette. Also might be able to compete with the Z06 which costs $80k?? something like that. What would Chevy do??

At the moment, I think the price for a fully loaded Camaro SS is very reasonable. I don't think I would be able to afford a Z/28 unless I find a better paying job before then. But I'm glad they are going to build it.

So the z28 comes out possibly in 2012?

I guess we know what made the Mayans nervous all these years............

In all seriousness though, I am at an impasse.

Do I stop all my mod plans and put that money into a downpayment fund for a new Z28, or do I just mod mine into a Z28?

A LOT can change in 3+ years, so much that you cant plan your life around a possibility. I'm going to get an SS and be happy with that. If the Z/28 actually shows up I'll trade the SS in. If the Z/28 gets canceled (again), then no loss.

Good one!

Since it will be a few years till it comes out, it makes me wonder what engine they'll use. I assumed they would use the LS7, but maybe they'll rework it for more power, 550 maybe?

i think that its good timing because it gives a lot of the first year buyers a chance to trade their car in for the z28 and not lose too much money...
