I’ve decided to go heads and flex fuel. I don’t think I’m going to do the ls7 heads because of all the changes I’d have to make. So GPI is first on my list any other suggestions I should look into?

Did you decide on what injectors and pump you are gonna run? I was thinking ID 1050x and double ZL1 when I cross that bridge..

100% all the wrong choices lol LIGHT CLUTCH next and then LOD X1. That lighter clutch (32 pounds to as low as 26) will show more acceleration gain in normal driving conditions than the gears or intake. As far as the low end loss with the X1 I feel nothing of the sort. Car moves effortlessly. You can watch my youtube video for no torque big cam argument lol

Clutch is definitely on the upgrade list, did a burnout for my little cuz and smoked the clutch after looking at the cost and getting news about new a baby i think upgrades might not be coming as soon as I originally thought I might be saving just fix it when i break something.

What clutch are you running in case it goes on me after my slip up lol

So I have changed my mind again. I’m going to do gears for sure. 4.10 or 4.11, I just need to find a worthy shop to install them. All you guys that upgraded gears where’d you go to buy them and did you install them yourself?

Good choice on the gears - a 1LE will benefit from a gear change a bit even if it's not quite as dramatic as taking a regular SS from a 3.45 to a 4.10.
GPI sells Motive - they are a pretty solid choice. I have Yukon's in mine now - also working nicely. With gears, spend the money for a quality, well respected installer - it can be the difference between something that's nice a quiet, or something that screams like a banshee. Follow the break in explicitly, several short heat cycles (including a FULL cool down) will really help the gears temper like they should.

If you're into spending big money, an aftermarket diff with a 4.56 would be amazing in an all motor 1LE...

Everything is nominal until you go FI. Dunno why you’re swapping the gears, someone fed you some bad info. I won’t say doing the heads is a waste of money, but the heads on the LS3 are as good as they come...ESPECIALLY the LS3.

E85 is ok, but why not do Methanol after you go FI? Easier to deal with, no long term corrosion to worry about and well, it’s methanol...it make things go real fuc*ing fast.

You said you wanted horsepower, quit dic*ing around...you know what you need. You’re gonna need money, a Supercharger, boost, aluminum drive shaft, a clutch and all the little goodies that hold that stuff in place and make it work. (There’s more but you get the idea)

700rwhp

Thread over.

I guess power levels are relative to the individual. My car made a measly 485 HP and 444 tq to the tire with a small cam and its fine for me on the street. Hell, driving around on the streets you normally don't have the room to whip on it plus there are cops everywhere in the suburbs. Around 500 rwhp in a camaro is good and you can actually use first gear and hook it up.

The man said he was addicted to horsepower, I was enabling him. I donít care about the relativity of horsepower to an individual. Do whatever you want and vaya con Dios.

All righty then.

Lots of people get wrapped up with numbers, look at Lazer's cars, he would go 11's and 10's with under 500 rwhp by concentrating on details and the whole set-up instead of bolting on a supercharger and smoking the tires.

I bought gears, wheels and drag radials and it didn't make me any faster. Kind of a waste of money. I wish i would have saved that money for horsepower. seems like forced induction is the smart play
