Parking lights - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey everyone! This forum is pretty awesome. This is my second post. I just bought a 2013 RS. My first Camaro since I owned my '69 back in '82.
I think there is an issue with my parking lights.
When I have the selector in parking light mode, only the tail lights, side markers and the halo's illuminate.
The lower fog lights only come on in day light running mode.
The amber front lights only come on when the remote unlock is activated. I can't get all of them to illuminate together.
This doesn't seem normal, but maybe I am old school.
Also I think the headlights have been changed as the head lights are projector type lights.
Am I crazy or does this sound ridiculous?

That's how they work. The DRLs are DRLs and the amber lights are turn/hazard signals. The halos are the marker lights.

The RS has HID headlights, if that's what you mean by projector. There is a shutter that covers the top part of the bulb on low beams.

You're lucky that the previous owner didn't modify them and they work as they're supposed to.

I would love to have my amber lights come on with my halos, but haven't figured out how to do it or find a thread that shows how it's done.

OP, if you want your DRLs to come on with your headlights, you can buy a harness from tons of sites. Here is Amazon

As stated, there are lots of harnesses that can do whatever you want. If you don't see what you need, customs are always possible.

Thanks for making the custom harness for the amber lights to come on with the halos. I believe GM should have made it this way from the factory. Will post before and after pics when installed.

Received the harness and got it installed in about an hour. The instructions were spot on and easy to follow. I added a couple of options to mine: adjustable brightness, blink on/off.
