We'll see, I've asked for the Railcar number they're supposed to try and get it monday.
The SRX was probably 2-3 weeks enroute from Mexico?

Yours must be getting extra special loving care or parts shortage I would imagine.

I don't know where you live but for the heck of it, and for comparison, it's 994 miles from Atlanta to the Oshawa plant and 1280 miles to the GM plant at Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. I don't know what conclusions we can gain from that knowledge...but I would have thought that those two numbers would be reversed

My car was built the day after yours, went across the street for stripes and was back in the big parking lot waiting to get on a train with your car last Wednesday. But yours got on the train; mine didn't. I can only surmise the train was full or my car is going to QC this coming week. QC would actually make me happy because of the vert top troubles some buyers have experienced.

Hopefully your dealer will give you the railcar number tomorrow and you can have some fun tracking your car.

I believe the earliest I might see an update on my car will be Tuesday.

We're outside of Savannah and our dealer is 50 miles or so north west on I-16 in Statesboro Ga.

The differance maybe simply in logistics, number of stops on the way etc. I was told the train would have a couple of stops before his dropoff point in somewhere in Ga or SC [didn't catch the city might have been Dixiana facility in SC] and trucked in to him.

My sales guy sent me a note this morning with the rail car information - and told me it is currently in Michigan! I'm flying (literally and figuratively) right now, but i know where I'll be calling when I land!

My baby is home!

Got the call she came in. Picked her up this evening. Foolish me, I forgot I took the memory card out of my camera.

She had 5 miles on her! Made the call to take her home tonight leaving my other car there (my Grand Prix was yelling house wrecker at the new Camaro as I drove off)

Drives amazing. Got 30 miles on her from the dealership and in the garage where she will sit for the next four months. Yes, pure torture but with the salt and gravel on the roads, I have no choice. Gives me plenty of time to look and mod as I see fit. The rear wing has got to go for something else I can already say.

And get this. Driving home, I had some beat up 3rd generate Mustang do a ricer fly by me. I was just like "Really? It begins already?"

Nice, Viffer! MIne is still in Michigan - Dirty D is right - having the ability to check even more frequently than GMconnects updates is harder to deal with. How are you going to handle not driving it for 4 months?!

Its going to be rough, but I have been conditioned. My 1997 Grand Prix always sat in the garage every winter for close to 13 years. In addition I know the salt they throw down in Nebraska. Even the salt they throw down where I work! Our parking lot looks like an ice bomb exploded there is so much salt.

Lets just say I am praying for a short short winter, but even then I would not take her out on the roads till that first good hard spring rain comes along and cleans up everything.

The bummer of all this. We have had no snow at all till Saturday. Even if it would have been delivered a week earlier I could have got a good taste of driving her.

On the other hand .... maybe bringing it home and storing it for the winter is the best thing that could have possible happened. I dont know what I am missing.

Congrats Viffer!

I don't see how you can drive her for 30 miles and then park her for 4 months though.

That's great Viffer!!! Glad you got her home, but sorry the weather is not cooperating. Loved the pictures too!

Bring that car down to where I'm at and you can drive her 365 days a year

In fact, more than likely the only snow and ice my car will ever see is where she is right now in the parking lot at Oshawa and on the trip to sunny SW Florida. Now if she would just get a move on, I'd be almost as happy as you are.
