1LE window sticker?

Anyone still have a 1LE window sticker? I am wondering if the transmission is made in mexico like on the SS or if it is made somewhere else considering they are different transmissions.

They are all made in Mexico. The only difference is 2 and 3 gear are closer together in gearing.

Actually the first 4 gears are closer ratio and 5th and 6th remain the same.

Did some more reresearch myself.

MM6 w/ 3.91
1st gear ratio: 2.66 10.42
2nd gear ratio: 1.78 6.97
3rd gear ratio: 1.30 5.09
4th gear ratio: 1.00 3.91
5th gear ratio: 0.74 2.90
6th gear ratio: 0.50 1.96

M10 w/ 3.45 w/ 3.91
1st gear ratio: 3.01 10.38 11.77
2nd gear ratio: 2.07 7.14 8.09
3rd gear ratio: 1.43 4.93 5.59
4th gear ratio: 1.00 3.45 3.91
5th gear ratio: 0.84 2.90 3.28
6th gear ratio: 0.57 1.97 2.23

It looks like the 1LE transmission has all new ratios but the 3.91 rear end bring 5th and 6th back almost exactly to a stock SS manual. I always thought the 1LE was turning more rpms in 6th due to the 3.91 rear end, but I guess not its actually running slightly less rpms than a regular SS!

Sorry to get off topic.

That sucks. The 1LE transmission is off the Z06 if I am not mistaken and that transmission is made in the USA.

Doesn't say where the TR6060 is made but Tremec has manufacturing facilities in Mexico and in Tennessee.

Transmission Technologies Corporation is an American manufacturer of automobile transmissions, best known for their TREMEC line of manual transmissions. The company has a sales and engineering office in Plymouth, Michigan, and production facilities in Querétaro, Querétaro Mexico, and Knoxville, Tennessee.

When it was announced the following was said in the official release:

Quote:
While the Camaro SS features a Tremec TR6060-M10 for all-around performance, the Camaro 1LE features an exclusive Tremec TR6060-MM6. Paired with a numerically higher 3.91 final-drive ratio, the close-ratio gearing of the transmission is tuned for road-racing performance. As with the ZL1, the 1LE transmission features a standard air-to-liquid cooling system for track use.
From gmpowertrain.com

Quote:
Both the standard Corvette and the high-performance Z06 use the TR6060 designated as MM6, which is validated to 500 lb-ft of torque, while the TR6060 with the Z51 option features higher ratios and is designated as MZ6. It is validated to 430 lb-ft of torque. The ultra high performance ZR1 uses the TR6060 designated as the MH3, which is validated to 650 lb-ft of torque. The CTSv uses the MG9 version of the TR6060 validated to 560 lb-ft of torque. The Camaro uses the M10 gear set validated to 430 lb-ft of torque.
Quote:
In 2009 model year, two new applications of the TR6060 were introduced. First, the Corvette ZR1 using the MH3 gear set. This gear set is the closest ratio gear set available in the TR6060. This gear set has been developed for maximizing on-track performance. Other than gear ratio changes, the only other refinements made in the TR6060 to handle the 638 lb-ft of engine torque were material changes in some shafts and gear pairs. The other 2009 model year introduction was the CTSv. The gear set chosen for this application was the MG9 which is similar to the MZ6 set used in the Z51 Corvette. However, in order to handle the 550 lb-ft of engine torque, the gears were redesigned. A trans pump is standard on the CTSv. The front bell was also incorporated into the front adaptor it improve powertrain bending. Both the ZR1 and CTSv use a twin plate clutch to handle the increased engine torque.
