Roller Rockers that fit under stock L99 Valve Covers?

Just like the title says. What are my options if any? I have heard of Yella Terra, Comp seems to have the steel Pro magnums and then there is also the scorpions?

Any other option and do any of these fit under stock valve covers? I know a lot of guys use the CHE trunnion upgrade but from what I have seen forum members post 20k-30k looks like about time to replace these.

I rather do it right the first time and take the hit up front if I not have to change out the trunnions every 20k or so.

Um, if you are wanting to cam your car and are worried about changing things out at 20-30K.. might want to read up on valve springs and their life span. Depending on the cam you will most likely be in that same range depending on how you drive it.

I can tell you for sure that Yella Terra do not fit under the stock valve covers. However they do work with Holley tall valve covers which bring along their own set of requirements such as taking a deep dive into any PCV or catch can system you have in place.

I know about all the valve spring requirements. Just didn't want to have to mess with the rockers every 20k and from what some of the forum members have posted I would rather do something different with the rockers if available but if there isn't a solution with stock valve covers then the CHE will be my go to.

You can buy a valve cover spacers, but I had to cut the baffle to clear T&D rockers and I run pretty much the hjighest lift ever in a street car lol. I suggest you use gasket maker to seal the spacer to cover cause they will leak. I have the stock 1LE oil separator and a catch can; the catchcan does not even get close to full after 5000 miles. I used truck(longer) wires and its fine fro the wire length.Spacer is a good and cheap way to do it.

I would stay stock cause a heavier rockers (which most are aftermarket) wont be a good match for some springs or and rockers or springs might break. Shaft mount system with stock rockers look promising. Dont remember which company make it. GL

As mentioned above, if you are going to cam your engine, don't go with a big cam if you don't want to have to "refresh" your springs and trunnions!! With the high lift cams they are a wear part and to keep them working correctly, you need to refresh them around 20k or so. I run the BTR .660 springs and did them at 23k, also I was running the Smith Brothers bronze trunnions and refreshed them at 26k, I had the most miles on them. Replaced them with the CHE's. The wear we are all seeing is comparable to one another. Just sayin. Insurance...

Yep, I know all about the springs and trunnions. I just wanted to get the best parts possible. GPI said the Manton is a step above the CHE with slightly more surface contact and oil. I will also have the .660 BTR springs but I will have steel retainers. My ramp rates are milder compared to the standard GPI cams and my lift is only slightly less but was told the springs and trunnions would have to be checked at 20k but likely will go several thousand longer due to the milder set up. Either way it will all work out.
