Here's the snip for what its worth:
The reason the AIT on the car reads so cold is bc we spray meth. The AIT sensor is after the meth so thats why it reads 30 degrees. He then also says this time of the year its 40 degrees out side how can the dyno read 80 degrees? Clearly he doesnt understand you want the weather station to read the same air as the car is using... Hence the weather station being right next to the dyno. We have the heat on in the shop. End of the car the 4550 lb CTSV went 9.13@153 the first full pass on it. We are going back to the track very soon to try to go faster.

"Ambient" air temp sensor is in front of the grill. IAT1 is in the maf sensor. At least on a stock car. What he's saying doesn't make sense. Unless he's mistaken about which sensor he's talking about

(I'm no expert, obviously, but Fran does typically know what he's talking about when he gets into the details in my opinion, and definitely seems to be a no-BS kinda dude.)

I look at it as a 2650 is a 2650. Its about the same price as a mag or others but they would have rework to do. I can use my Direct port meth lid, the interchiller lines, intake all in the same spots.
PLus Kong was great to work with porting my current LSA supercharger, I dont think he would chance his reputation or his growing business. Probably wont order until they are shipping and i can see one at CSP or RPM in person. Will it make 140 more on my car of course not, will it be a big gain that I can grow into with a bigger lsa motor later, yes. DB |

If it works well in the hot summer it will be a big hit with the LS crowd. Maybe I'll get bored and forge mine someday and add this

It's pretty cool. It's one of those things where I've always thought, "one day I'll dust off my old CAD skills and design a better lid." This whole thing makes me smile because I wish I would have had the time, resources, and drive to have done it.
Anyway, I'm definitely interested in the new-design lid on a ported 1900 (hopefully Mr. Brisson's ported blower... wink, wink). I think that would be a great combo for a stock bottom end. Hey Mark, have you ever had yours on the dyno in the current configuration? If not, what would you think on a dynojet- maybe 720-735 SAE?

I have not dyno'd the car. I think the average with our mods and same cam is around 700, according to some of the CTSV guys who mostly run a Matt Gower 2.5 cam.
It would be nice to know but I don't want to pay much for a pull. Lol Just noticed your at 28% OD. Mine is 38% on a joker ported blower. Be nice to see the difference between our cars. Everything else is about the same

Yes, I was thinking around 690-700 for mine and maybe 30 or so more for yours with the extra pulley and porting. When I got the cam, Matt confirmed I should be able to see around 700 with my current mods, 750 with blower/heads, and then 800 with E.
I'll do some pulls at some point, but probably after ported blower, 103 TB, and a 9.17/2.55 setup this spring.
