just curious here I know the SS came with 20's, but what's the smallest wheel we can run on an SS without modifying anything?

Seems as if we in the UK are getting worse and worse roads so smaller wheels forcheapness and larger sidewalls for comfort is interestin - that being said big, fat tires are going to cost no-matter if a 20" or a 15" (BTW 15 is a joke, even I know they won't fit!!)

You can run 17" wheels if you tie back the parking brake cable so it doesn't rub.

On an SS, you have to worry about the front brakes if you have the rollerskates on them. SOME 18" wheels fit and clear just fine, but that's about as small as you can go with modifying nothing.

2012+ they fixed the parking brake routing, so you shouldn't need do tie back anything to fit smaller wheels in back.

thanks for that - the question came off the back of a discussion I was having vis-a-vis wheel sizes, UK roads, side-wall etc

I used my grinder with a cutting wheel and cut the rollerskates off the front, didn't need to remove the pads to do so. Then just let your tire shop know to place the weights on the innermost part of the rim for balancing.. mine fit great with plenty of clearance in the front with 17"s.

In the rear, my 17's fit just fine, I just had to tie back the E-brake cable... but I have noticed a bit of contact with the LCAs...probably happened on hard launches on a well prepped track..
