NEED SOME ADVICE GUYS ON DIRECTION

ok short while ago I totally rebuilt the suspension in ft, new poly subframe upper lower a arm bushings tie rod ends idler arm ball joints everything tight as new, swaped out smoking numbers matching 327 for new GM 350 4 bolt 350 long block

was going to install qa1 tube upper and lower a arms and there coil ver ft shocks tie frame with frame connectors and install a fast ration steering box, BUT was rethinking the car is soo matching, and I just spent the money to redo the ft WHY CHANGE IT AGAIN? ill never race it don't wanna t tear it up.

SOOO NOW im thinking install a vintage air ac system as in texas summers its HOT install a heavy duty alum radiator and hi vol water pump to aide cooling install a nice stereo and just drive and enjoy it till im ready to totally put her back as it rolled off show room floor as I have her full docs,

Love the AC addition. That will help a lot with the enjoyment factor of the car.

As for the cooling system mods.... Try running with stock setup before adding the bigger radiator and bigger pump. I live in AR and it gets plenty hot here. NEVER had an engine over heat issue even with my high compression, high RPM, high strung 302 engine. Those cooling system mods are easy to add later if you find you really do need them. Be sure to run all the shroud and fan setup as it was originally intended if you want the system to work like it did when it was new. JMO.

Leaks are historically common if you have a spoiler. The mounting studs were ALWAYS a problem. Pull off the spoiler and seal the crap out of the studs from the top then crawl inside and have a (good) friend hose the car down with water to check your work. Look for the drips from inside. That is the way to find, and solve the problem.

Not a bad call. The side benefit nobody ever talks about is the madness can stop. You save money in the long run because you will be FINISHED when it is done. Original is the stopping point. Then you can just maintain, drive and enjoy.

one of the reasons that I sold my 67' Z RS, I couldn't make it my own, car was too rare, plus the fact that I was getting divorced then
It worked out though, the new owner finished the restoration and I kept one of the 68 projects that i had, and have been making it my own!

Jeff
When and to whom did you sell the 67 Z/28 RS? That is my dream car.
