Buying a new to me 2010 2SS

I'm coming back to the Gen5 Camaro world. Formerly, I owned a 2010 2SS RS and loved it. I've had a really interesting time trying to buy a new-to-me pony car. It's been an interesting past several weeks looking for a vehicle.

03/12/17 -- Started looking again for a new vehicle

03/18/17 -- Found a 2010 2SS exactly like mine that I had in 2010 with the ground effects and everything. Only 8k miles too... Going back and forth was this dealer was a pain. They didn't want to negotiate the price much.

03/19/17 -- Found a 2012 2SS, and messaged seller. We came to an agreeable price. The car is in Kentucky and I'm in NC.

03/20/17 -- At my credit union, they told me they would only go 48 months on the 2012 2SS because of my less than desirable credit situation.

-- Received approval from online lender. However, they would not do a transaction out of state with a private party, so the 2012 was a no-go.

03/21/17 -- I found a 2014 Mustang GT locally for $21,500ish and went to test drive it. It was a good price but because it had been wrecked i offered them a little less, and they declined.

03/23/17 -- Found a 2012 Camaro LS I wanted to buy. Went to look at it and briefly test drove it. It was later in the day after work.

03/24/17 -- Spent the next couple of days hammering out the details with my online lender trying to set up the loan for the 2012 LS.

03/28/17 -- I picked up a set of RS polished wheels with brand new Pirelli's to go on the car to replace the ugly steelies on the 2012 LS.

03/31/17 -- The lender sent the contracted inspector to examine the vehicle.

04/01/17 -- The inspectors notes were sent to me... I was alerted to undisclosed repairs done to the car and decided to back out of buying a camaro for now.

04/02/17 -- After making breakfast for my kids, and my 5 year old son wanted to get online and look at Camaros and Mustangs. So we pulled up eBay and boom! There she was. I had no intention of buying a car by this time... but I found a 2010 2SS with 60k miles for $15,700. Used buy it now and dropped the $500 deposit... So it looks like I'm going to Florida this weekend to pick it up!

You can get the '13+ alloys in 18" and get them powdercoated in black or put wheel skins on them. It'll be cheaper than the 20" rims and probably a few pounds lighter too. Lighter than even ZL1 replicas. However, they are only 7.5" wide.

Clean car!

IMO Those aren't much better in terms of looks. I'm trolling craigslist to watch for a set with fresh tires on them. Have one I'm working with now for some 20" SS take-off wheels.

If you are going to put the leather seats in yourself you might try leatherseats.com they make some great seats and I think better priced than katskin.
