Dealer free zone

Just passed my first anniversary after 7,000 miles. Haven't been back to the dealer since I bought it. A couple of oil changes at home and no warranty items yet. Lots of car enthusiasts on this forum - just wondering who likes their dealer enough to let them do routine maintenance? I'm worried about those poor guys staying in business.

My dealer does every oil change and always will. Why should I do manual labor myself when I can pay someone else to do it? Haha

Even with a video, I would never get this right.

i go to the dealer for my leased car, because its free, but unless its covered under warranty, i will work on the camaro myself. my silverado is another story, when something goes on that, its usually at a bad time, like winter. i will take that in to get fixed. just had them install a new power steering pump and alternator. heavy duty truck parts, will keep the dealers in business

I had them replace my right headlight. Cost $1100.

Even though I was out of warranty, I made a stink and GM decided to cover it.

Yep, my dealer [of my first Camaro purchase] not only works on my Camaro, but they also work on my wife's Hummer. Super trustworthy guys, and they do great work. The best oil change price in town, too, which is odd. Probably going to go see them next week to get the oil changed in the SS and the H3.

I only had to bring it back for the A/C recall . I change the oil once a year at work.

Nope, I do not let them do anything I can do on my own. Only thing I don't want to do is a cam install, but I'll be doing that very soon once I find a decent daily driver.
