Texas Speed VVT-3 idle video's

I have had a lot of requests for idle video's so here you go guys, let me know what you think. This is done with my Black Berry not the best quality. Give me a few weeks once I get some solid 1/4 mile data I will do a complete write up on this setup.

When you say surging w/ 3200 may both people are you talking about the shake at idle or bucking? I always assumed it was a bucking or surging when driving low-end... I am unfamiliar with a cam-swaps and trying to educate myself it it is something I really want.

The surging is only at a stop in drive and is what I would expect from a cam this size. It is not bad at all in fact I love it.For someone that has never owned or driven a cammed car I don't want them to be caught off guard it is a fairly aggresive cam. There is no bucking driving at low rpm's. The Yank 3200 was a little of a compromise. The car is my wifes DD (100 percent city driving) and my track car so I wanted the tightest converter possible. If she did more freeway driving we would have went with the Yank 3600 and I'm sure it would eliminate most if not all of the surging.

Answers my question as well.

Yea, the only thing stopping me from making the jump is the MPG hit. Like your wife... it is an occasional driver for me but it is ALL city driving with highway maybe once in a month or two... I am not really concerned with idle "shake" or too much surging... but I won't be tracking it so maybe a VVT2...

I'm thinking mine will be tamer. Borla touring and shorties here.

Sounds amazing! I will get the same setup some day. Mine is a weekend car and I occasionally drive it to work on a nice day. It wouldn't bother me that much if my mpg went down or if it is too loud and surging at stop lights. Man it sounds awesome!

We just did a 6 day trip to Vegas and averaged 20.9 mpg including 5 days driving around Vegas and I am on the throttle hard all the time.I would think the MPG between the VVT2 and VVT3 would not be that much of a difference unless you don't have to run a converter with the VVT2. I don't want to scare anyone away from the VVT-3 cam I personally think it is a great street cam. Drivability is so subjective from person to person.
