Stainless Works Exhaust - anyone use them?

I'm just not happy with the sound of my NPP (fuse pulled). While the volume is adequate, it just sounds sloppy and not very clean. I'm not interested in adding headers down the road either. The videos I've seen with headers just make the car outrageously loud.

With all of that being said, the Stainless Works exhaust system really seems to be the sound I'm looking for. Anyone have any experience specifically with the ZL1? I don't want to deal with drone or being too loud inside the car as I occasionally transport my 1 year old daughter.

Lastly, should I buy direct or are there better prices through our sponsors here?

The Retro Chambered cat back sounds amazing inside and out. There is no drone. You can hear the exhaust inside but it is not loud. You can still hear the radio and don't have to raise your voice to have a conversation. And yes, you can get a better price through a Camaro5 sponsor.

I can confirm everythin ApexChase has said. I have them on my 45th SS. I also have a CAI intake. No drone, and not too loud IMO.
Not sure if they sound different on the ZL1 though. I would think it's not likely to sound too much different.

Yeah the majority of the videos are on 6.2 SSs cars. I'm with you - I imagine the sound is very similar to the ZL1s. Just wanted to hear some real world feedback from owners like you. Thanks!

I installed SW's and the product is very good, fit was excellent and the sound is really amazing. Don't remember what I paid, but I'll look tonight and let you know tomorrow.

search around a couple people have had fitment issues on install but I am sure that is the same for any exhaust company.

the sound with headers and the system on the video's is awesome. I have a hard time thinking it will be much different in volume fuse pulled but the tone should be better.

I am not a huge fan of the NPP style exhausts with cat's in the system. I have not messed with mine yet but my Z06 with borla stingers sounded way better to me than my Zl1 does right now. the blower whine though makes up for it in some ways ha ha.

Are either of them without headers? Do you have a video of either system?

I have the exhaust on my car and love it. I have the chambered cat back. The more you drive it and heat it up (long trips) the louder it got for me. Best money i have spent in a long time on exhaust. I did have a fitment issue on mine it was one of the 1st set done. I was able to correct it by cutting and rewelding new rear muffler hangers. I found out a few other people had similar issues.
