i dont see the value in a Z28 when there are other models which come quite close for less money. the ZL1 still seems to be the better value at alot lesss money. and if I was going to spend 75K for a chevy, i can buy a new 14 vette convertible for less and probably have just as fast a car, and one which has more market appeal and probalby hold its value better in the long run. the Z28 is so limited, which, could be good and bad. good in that the rairity of the vehicle could hold value, but, the bad that not as many people want it now, or maybe later.
Yes you don't. Obviously this car (Z/28) is not meant for you. However fortunately there are other Camaros to fill the bill.

It is fine to not want it. However talking trash or giving opinions about a car that some have never driven makes them a hater.

So now a person can't offer an opinion about a car they have never driven? If that's the case, there are a plethora of members on this site that are "haters" based on their comments regarding the Mustang and Challenger; cars some on here wouldn't ever consider buying, let alone test driving.

No, the fact is, there are few folks on here that have purchased a z/28 and are extremely happy with their purchase, as I hope they would be, but take exception to anyone who does not feel the same way about the car that they do.

I agree, however, that talking trash about the car is out of line.

Some peoples screen-names make them haters, and not even worth bothering with.

I could care less about what people think about the Z/28. I bought it because it is, by far, the best tool for the job. In my case the job is being driven on the track, and driven on streets which have a track on the other end.

I do have an issue with people bitching about the price. You don't have to like the car, but criticizing the pricing demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of the car, and what it costs to have the level of equipment required to generate the numbers the Z/28 is capable of. CCBs are not cheap, the Multimatic setup costs a pretty penny (see the Z/29 Parts thread), and the car has a dry-sump LS7 (etc., etc.).

It would be more productive to say you'd never buy a Z/28, explain why, and then describe the car you want Chevy to build. Go ahead and buy whatever your non-Z/28 dream car is, be happy, and get on with it. This is distinctly different from the posters, some of whom are trolls and/or haters, who simply bitch about the Z/28 because of fill in the blank...

My friend bought a ZL1 for 63k in 2013 and financed it for 6 years at 4.99%. He laughs at the cost of the Z28. I paid cash at 75k, my calculations tell me he will pay a lot more then 75k.

Financed ... the whole thing??

Like ... $1100 a month??

I couldn't afford track days at that rate!

I'd consider keeping the ZL1, but I assume it'll be parked a lot with a Z/28 right next to it.

I just think that they could have and should have priced the Z lower. Its got a carry over engine from 2006 and very similar brake setup from what 2009. A lot of parts were already there and not much r&d was needed. No creature comforts either. If you cant take people talking about cars and a car you own then you might as well get off a car forum or grow thicker skin. That's not "hatin" thats just car talk.

That's not car talk. Car talk is a bunch of guys talking about mods and how to get the car faster or making it your own. Worrying about the cost when you will never buy one or want one is a waste of time. The same posters go on and on about it. We get it.

Looks like this person with the no reserve auction was full of it. Or they realized that their car with 1086 miles was now only worth 57,000 on ebay. At least I think that was the highest bid it received.

Here is the rarest of rare US market 2014. Ashen Grey without A/C. 350 miles is all it took for the first owner to realize that no A/C in Texas was a bad idea.
